Initially this was arranged for a small chamber music presentation, hence the slightly random selection of movements. The “Alla Hornpipe” has a B part that’s quite a bit more difficult than the rest of the piece, it could be left out. The Bourrée is played 3x in a row in its original fashion. The full performance of this set should come to about 11 minutes. In the recorder version different instrumentations are possible. There is a set of parts and score for two sopranos and alto recorder which presumably has a more general usability. Some high notes were also simplified there. There is also a version for 2 tenors and bass, where further instrumentation suggestions have been done for more advanced players.
