(Dutch below) On 6 October 2019 Robert de Bree, recorder player and collector of rare instruments, performed with his programme in the village hall De Zwaan in Uitgeest: My favourite tree. In the small hall an enthusiastic audience listened to his stories about trees and roots and their influence on his musical choices and instruments. And of course to his interpretation of music by Bach, van Eijck and Piazzola. Besides all kinds of wind instruments also unknown instruments such as a harp violin and a Chinese mouth organ came on stage. And he improvised with themes from the audience. He gave the audience eyes and ears a good meal. The many positive reactions afterwards showed that the coffee concert was very much appreciated.

Purcell and Blow with Dunedin Consort and Samling Opera Academy "A highlight was the duet Bid the Virtues, coupling the ravishing tones of soprano Ana Fernández Guerra with the warmth of Robert de Bree’s oboe obbligato."

Your playing is virtuosic and phenomenally interwoven in an interesting and heartwarming story. I was touched by your version of "Lascia ch'io Pianga" and your beautiful countertenor voice! Thank you for this atmospheric concert and your engaging personality

Inspiring, full of fantasy, virtuosic, 'classical jazz' and informative. Just a few words to describe your wonderful concert...
